depends on the be-holder....
if someone has a nice 61 st gaudens, melt+ is about 700 ?
that's about what these full sets sell for on the bay...

it's a bet on the price of gold... if you think gold is going to drop from current 20 year high levels, and the silver proof sets will only increase in value as the series,
then this is a move for the future. that's my angle anyway.

considering dealers pay nearly 350 for the 99 set alone, you may fair better just selling that set on ebay and picking your own St Gauden up the same way....Do you care about the condition ?

I think it is a fair trade, actually. Although, I sold my 20 dollar pieces in favor of chasing the five dollar indians and a choice cheerios sacagawea, so I cannot help ya this week .

thanks 2sides.. I didn't think this was an insulting deal I try to be fair.

I just checked on Apmex and I can get a slabbed 62 for low 700s so my price is about right I think.

I do have a Saint but it's AU-, I sucked it up and bought a slabbed MS 63 Liberty and it's NIIIICE, so I figured Id upgrade Saint to an MS calibur.

I wasn't trying to diss your offer- hence the wink. I also think you'd be better off selling the sets on ebay, and then using the proceeds to pick out a st. gaudins that looks good to you. Good luck!
