1972 Plunkett RC... possible crack and resub...

Just got back from my latest $5 special... in my opinion, another fatality to 314 grader of death. Just wondering what the board thinks.... is it worth cracking out and resubmitting? I believe it's a 9 quality... any opinions?

Lower left corner appears to have some chipping.

I thought it was decided that there is no such thing as the "314 grader of death"?

Nice card. I would resubmit a few times. Lower left looks like the weak spot, but hey, ya never know.

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Looks great.. I would try and try again.... If it looks as good in person it will end up in a 9 holder someday.

Going by SMR, there is only a $55 difference in value between 8 and 9, so playing the resubmit game would be one of quickly diminishing returns. Centering is certainly not an issue, so you'll need to loupe the corners and that bottom left edge carefully to decide if it's worth it. You might be better off selling the 8 as is and simply buying a 9.
