Dang! Good job and congratulations! Keep that up and you can open up your own bank.
  • You have a helluva eye for those 85's, huh?

    Great grades and congrats!
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Yep, The first one was fantastic on centering, the second was off a little but still yielded some good cards.

Hard Core grades Tennessee! ... I'm jealous! You asked, what are they going for? ... Well, since he's quit, they've gone waaay down. I believe PSA 10's are selling for $20/ea.... but since you're a helluva nice guy (as am I) I'll offer you twice that for each one RIGHT NOW if you'll through in the Mac PSA 10 with'em!

... all kidding aside, seriously nice grades!

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

  • Clemens' are going for $450-$550. The McGwire might go for even more, those are VERY tough to find in 10.
  • Great job! Amazing to see that raw cards can still be bought off of Ebay and they still have a chance at a 10. I take it the Clemens set you back raw between 15-30?

I think I paid around $32 for it, which is on the high end, but I just knew it was at least a nine, so I thought I would at least break even.

  • Damn good eye! Very well done.
  • The high end result sure as heck outweighs the high end you paid! This is the part of card collecting that still makes the hobby fun when end results like this happen. I would gladly pay 32.00 day in and day out for cards coming back in the 500.00 range!

This submission has paid for every thing I have bought so far contributing to the 85 set. A three box rack case, two factory sets, and a couple of raw. With the duplicate 10's I got from the rack case I am way ahead, and I am begining to put together a decent 85 registry set. Now that i have most of the key cards in 10 every thing else should be gravy. I still have a box full of card savers ready to go with some gems waiting on the $5 special.

i hate these posts....they make me want to buy stuff... image

congrats TB. i wish i could say the same for unopened purchases i've made. i've had both good and bad so i'll call it even. i really get the thrill from busting packs. i popped an 86t bsb wax last night that i've had for quote some time and pulled some very nice gradeable cards.

i'd like to have similar results on my freebies. i sent them off yesterday.

    Thanks,
