    I think if you could get $300 (which is the higher half between a PSA 6 & 7) that would be a very reasonable offer and if it were my card, I would strongly consider taking the offer. OC on a PSA 8 is anything greater than65/35, that centering might be 90/10 at best and the card has a tilt, on the narrow end the centering is probably closer to 95/5. That is really, really unfortunate for his 2nd year card.

    Dale...

    I don't understand why anyone would do that?
    The card is what it is, qualifiers or no qualifiers. If it comes back as a 5 or a 6, it's still OC.

    what would there be to gain on that?

    I agree with leaving it as is in the 8 OC slab, especially because it looks like a VERY low end 8. Tough call on the precise value but that is a hot card right now and even though it is badly OC you should still get a decent price for it.

    Card is worth more as an 8oc imo.

    If the thought is that this card can bring $300 in PSA 8 (OC), then it would be more than what eBay is running on PSA 6s. The last three Aaron '55s in PSA 6 shape have brought the following prices....$180.27, $218.50 & $211.38.

    So, makes sense to leave it as 8 (OC).
    * '72 BASEBALL #15 100%
    * C. PASCUAL BASIC #3
    * T. PEREZ BASIC #4 100%
    * L. TIANT BASIC #1
    * DRYSDALE BASIC #4 100%
    * MAGIC MASTER #4/BASIC #3
    * PALMEIRO MASTER/BASIC #1
    * '65 DISNEYLAND #2
    * '78 ELVIS PRESLEY #6
    * '78 THREE'S COMPANY #1

  • Take $200.00 on this card.

    I agree 200.00 is about what i thought the card would fetch.

    I feel it is worth more as an 8 oc as opposed to a straight 6 cuz as a 6 it still has the centering issues and one could be inclined to think that it also has corner issues as well. here as an 8oc a potential buyer will see that the card has no corner issues and the centering is apparent.

    the Mays card has 8 corners but 6 centering...........image

    Good for you.
  • At it's worst piont the Aaron card is 88/12 top to bottom and 69/31 left to right. I think the card is much more valueable in an 8oc holder.

    Leave it 8 oc... I would guess right around straight 6 money, maybe a little less. I would rather have a nicely centered 6 with some corner wear. There are all types of collectors out there. I bet there is just as many that would like a 8 oc over a 6.

    Goose:

    Did you ever resubmit that batch of cards that PSA sent back as slightly undersized? If so, how did you make out?

    I tried to squeek one of them back thru, the miscuts...

    If you resub., it will get a PSA 4 or 5. Leave it as is. Over the last year or so I show four cards having sold on ebay as PSA 8 OC. The values were 272, 179, 230, and 430. I would say this card would likely be at the low end of that range.

    Nice card, leave it as it is, it could just as easily come back with the dreaded MC if resubmittedimage
