Any guesses what my 71 Munson auction will end up?

It was time to part with my favorite card of all time - my 71 Munson PSA 8. Kids are costing too much money, so it was time to sell a few cards and pay some bills. I hope it goes to a nice owner image

Good luck on the auction. It is a great looking card.
  • Well, you are almost at $600 right now with 3 1/2 days to play. Last one closed for $490 March 21st, but the scan on that one looked like the corners had damage. Yours looks great!

You might make it to $800, but I think where you are right now is where it'll end up--bbcexchange has one up as well, and no doubt he will benefit from yours ending first.

Edit to add: If you get a scan of the back up on that auction, it may help out your case. Just something to think about.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

  • Is it me or did the item get removed?
  • Seraph, it must be you. Auction is alive and well.

The link didn't work for me either. This one does though.

Don't think that the link was properly placed here within the thread....try this one...

Wow! Nearly $600? There's another one out there that doesn't look quite as clean as yours Steve.

  • Great card. Some call it the best card of the '70s. There's some info about this card in the '71 Topps article in this month's SMR!

Good luck! You have to think that if a PSA 8 Claude Raymond sells for $966.56, that this card should rival that.
  • Had to dig this thread back up. Looks like it is rivalling the Raymond--876 with several hours to play.

  • Onlyanumber,

I was not sure what to expect. But, if the Raymond went for $876, well......It has been reminiscent of selling my last home in CA in terms of demand! Quite a few people emailing me to end it early, which was tempting, but not my style. We shall see if it gets to $1,000 - based on emails it would not surprise me.
