Well guys...

How did your team do?

I got home in time to see the second half of the Braves opener against the Dodgers.

Braves prevail; 11-10.

So, how did you do?

I'm happy...but then again, the Braves always perform pretty well. I know they haven't won the amount of WS' they should...but that doesn't affect me like others.

They have been good entertainment for my TV dime.

Well, my Indians just finished putting a hurt-in on the Sox.....glad they bounced back......think this will be an awesome rivalry all year long....are their any Sox fans out there who know if you can take the subway to Sox stadium???? or is it caught up in all the construction on the Ryan freeway???
  • In Chicago, the public rail system is denoted by colors. The "Red Line" serves both Wrigley and Comiskey, and is not completely a subway. Parts of it are elevated - hence the nickname "el".

Anyway, to the best of knowledge, the Red Line is not under service during the Dan Ryan construction. Just get on and get off at 35th street (Sox Park) and walk up the escalators to the park. Very easy.

  • My Blue Jays don't start until tonight ... a battle of Cy Young Award winners - Roy Halladay vs. Johan Santana. I'm hoping the "Doc" will conquer!

MEGATRON....many thanks, I'm thinking about visiting in June when the INdians go back......can you jump on the train, el, subway, whatever appropriate name is from the hotels out by the Convention center near the airport???
  • Yes, you can. From the Rosemont Convention Center, you will need to jump on the Blue Line, and then transfer to the Red Line when you get downtown. It will likely be a long trip with all the stops. Or you can take Metra, which is the Suburban ccommuter system.

Check out these links to help you out

Thanks again Megatron......haven't decided if we are going for sure or not but your information will come in handy....I've stayed out by the convention center in the past and wanted to make sure you could get to the train easy enough.....
