Any information on this?

All I know about this postcard is that on back, in Spanish it says along the lines of Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. My friend Carlton, pictured on front, said the picture is from 1951, his first year playing for Qubec in the minor leagues. As you can see, it refers to Coney Island. Did they use these as prizes? I know nothing about Coney Island or how things were there so any information you could share with me would be appreciated!

The only help I can give you is that Santo Domingo in the Dominican Rep. was known at that time as Ciudad Trujillo.
