Any Cheerios Pennies been graded?

Probably no premium value on them as fairly common but curious if any of the TPG are noting them with a CHEERIOS pedigree?

  • The Cheerio Sackie is a pattern, that is why it is worth more... the cent is just a regular cent.

To take the cent out of it's packaging would lower it's value.

and the blackness when the dream dies, of lovers, fools, adventurers and kings while I sip my wine and contemplate the Chi.

I've seen at least one ANACS holder with "CHEERIOS CENT" on the insert, I don't know about any at other TPGs.

Yes they do exist. I have 4 ANACS Cheerios cents right now.

Yes, ANACS will slab the coin, but the original packaging is removed.

    It's a catch 22.

You need to send the whole package, unopened, to ANACS. If you send them just the cent, or the opened package, you will not get the Cheerios designation on the slab.

Yes, but the packaging is a significant aspect of it's value. Once ANACS renders a grade, the packaging is lost.

Yes. You will get the cent in an ANACS slab with Cheerios designation. They probably throw the cardboard package away. Once the cent is removed and slabbed, the cardboard package is worthless. Much like the Millenium set package. Once the SAE is taken out of the Millenium set cardboard, the package is worthless. If you don't give them the cardboard with the SAE still in it, how do they know it came from that set? The Cheerios cardboard package is only needed to prove that it was a Cheerios cent.
