Here's mine, a better date, 1909-O Barber half, grading XF-40.........which I should be receiving fairly soon. I can't say that it has the most attractive toning in the world, but it does scream out "original", and certainly can be classified as "crusty" looking. Now....show me your crusty looking Barber halves.

P.S. What’s the over/under on this thread? 7? 8?

Nice coin Dan.
I'm waiting to either get a decent scanner or Start TruViewing my XF45s. Does anyone have any hints on good scanners?

Love the 1901-s ( I was eye balling that coin myself) and I also like the look of the 12-D.
Dave,
Thanks for the compliment on the 09-O obverse.......the toning is a little weird though, maybe it'll grow on me. I give the over/under on the thread about 10 or 11.
Craig,
I'm happy to have added an XF-40 to my Barber half collection...........with you guys around, I don't stand a chance with the 45's.
Eyoung429,
I would grade your coin a Good-4, because of the weak rims on the reverse. The coin's nice and original looking.........tough date too.
Wayne,
Very nice 1911 Barber........you're right, it's not crusty but it sure is pretty. You posted fantastic images.
My internet is down again at home (I'm responding now from work), so I won't be able to get back to this thread again until probably Monday. Thanks guys for the replies and have a good weekend!

This has to be my favorite look. It appears the coin was dropped in some chocolate and sprinkled with caramel coloring. I tried to take a bite out of the coin once because it looked so yummy.

At least LIBERTY is still smiling. Not quite as 'brown' in hand, more charcoals and dark greys. And the gunk doesn't quite 'pop' out at you either.
I enjoyed all the others' coins, thanks for posting.
Don
Quarters are much easier to find then halves.....
That 1892-O above is simply awesome.....
Purchased raw, now entombed.

Tyler,
I don't think you know what the word's fugly or crusty mean. Obviously there aren't any Barber's in your collection that meet that criteria. My 09-O, is also in an ANACS holder. In fact, lately I've picked up quite a few Barber halves in ANACS holders. I've found ANACS to be as consistent as any grading service, with regards to grading mid grade and upper grade circulated Barber halves.
Tom,
I like the 1914...........a coin that's still on my want list.
Dave and Don,
Now we're talking........plenty of crust there!
