Did anyone hear that DLRC is auctioning an 1848 "CAL" $2.50 in MS-62? A moose of a coin..

I thought that these coins were typically auctioned with great fanfare. I have not heard that DLRC was auctioning off this coin. I believe the mintage is 1,389, so I would put this coin into the Longacre "Moose" category. Did anyone hear about this auction?

Any pics around? This is one of those coins I direly want but will most likely never own, and so my only recourse is to drool at online pics.

The 1848 CAL is my dream coin. But it's never going to happen.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Well, you missed this one, too.

But then, it's only an AU-50.
