Let's see 65 days... That's business days and not counting blackout days... In a 65 day span let's be generous and say there will only be 7 show black out days. Now that's 72... Let's look at a calendar and see how many weekend days are in 72 days.... if I am seeing it right that is 22 total weekend days.. That makes a total of 94 days you coins can be in house under their policy.
Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing about. -Benjamin Franklin-
My seven were entered on 2/3 and I thought the results might come in before the weekend. Not now. I have 10 at ANACS on economy so it will be a couple of months before these get back.
The bright side is I haven't purchased a coin in six weeks not knowing what I'll sell or keep and not knowing what I'll want. Now that's good news!
I can't beleive that increasing turn around times is good for PCGS's business. How many customers have they lost? What is the turn around time at NCG? You would think that maybe PCGS would hire a few more graders to solve the problem instead of just increasing the turn around times.
<< <i>If everyone would stop using the 15 day service then the economy times would change. >>
If the economy ($18 per coin) times consistently increase, then more people will choose* to use the 15 day service ($30 per coin), which will subsequently increase the publicly traded corporation's income. And increased profit is always the "true" mission statement.
I have quite a few raw coins that I would love to get into holders- but I never hear anything that makes me think trying would be a good idea. Between the inconsistency of grading, under-grading, unnecessary bodybags, and increasing submission times, I can't get myself to spend the hundreds of dollars it would take to hopefully get the coins holdered. Getting them correctly holdered might take even more time, money, and aggravation....
