Uh oh...my red IHC's are turning RB!

At least in the retired registry set that I sold 2 years ago.

Sometime in the recent past the pop. 1/0 1894/94 in 66R has become a RB coin (at least in the data base). I can't imagine the new owner doing that.

Have you noticed your sets morphing over time??

That's one of the main reasons I've always stayed away from red copper. Love the look; don't love the risk of watching them turn.

That RB showed up long ago. I brought it to their attention and nothing happened so I let it be.

So you can see it coming on? What do people usually do when this happens?

I have always been wary of RD copper for just this reason....Mike

What Tim is talking about is an error in the population report for the 1894/94 IH Cent. The pop shows a RB that doesn't exist and should have showed a MS66RD. He isn't talking about coins changing color in their holders.

Rick and I handled the first MS66RD 94/94 right after it was graded at PCGS. The error showed up immediately in the pop report and has been wrong since day one.

I've had a couple pop. 0/0 coins and now this. It's an error like BWC mentioned.
