integrity of a slab

I have a 1901 AU-53 Morgan in an ANACS slab and the slab has a nick in the plastic on the rim, on the reverse half, on the left side, and it starts about 5% down from the top and goes to about 20% of the way down the side. Would that decrease the value for anyone, or in general?

It really depends on the severity and everything. A picture would certainly help.

Here is one of my cracked slabs.

My offers are based on the coins condition not the plastic coffins. So to me it makes zero difference.
If I say something in the woods, and my wife isn't around. Am I still wrong?

Its an awesome rainbow toned nickel. You can kind of see a bit of the toning from the shot, but I was going more for the slab than the color in that picture. Anyways its a 1942-S AU58. I am thinking I may crack it out soon image

Buy the coin, not the crack image
