Houston show

Anyone planning to go to the coin show in Houston this Sunday? Or know any dealers who will be there?
Looking for info on MN national banknotes from New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, Mankato, Hanska, and Lake Crystal. Also Two Harbors, Duluth, Brainerd, and Ely.

I wish image I will be in Houston this summer on co-op. I can't wait to be in a big city with coin shows and coin shops and an actual numismatic community (non-cyber) I've grown up in the middle of no where my whole life... after graduation this December my numismatic world will be getting a lot brighter. image

  • The bellaire club has a show in late april, and again in early august, if i recall correctly. I'd recommend these if you're here then. And the pasadena club also has a couple shows, one is usually thanksgiving weekend (3days). I've been to several of these, and have met several friendly dealers.

  • Who, what when and where? Is this to be held over by Hobby Airport? I wish a coin show would be held at Greenspoint Mall again. That's easy to get to. Everything else in Houston is a pain in the neck to get to.

  • The show is at the Hilton off of the Hillcroft exit off of 59S from 10AM to 4PM on Sunday Apr. 2nd. I've passed on most of the local shows except for the show at George R. Brown I went to. Anyone have any idea if it's worth going to looking for slabbed PCGS coins? As in.... bust, seated & possibly some early walking liberty halves? I'm not into the submission thing these days, so not looking for raw coins.
  • I wish they, whoever that would be, would choose a spot on I-10 on the west side of Houston at least once. Even the George R. Brown is a pain in the neck to get to. I've been to that one twice and never again.

Just be glad there is anything in a hour or two drive of your location. I live in New Orleans and I consider the show in Houston and Jackson MS big events compaired to what happens here.

  • As the promoter maybe I can answer some of your questions about the upcoming Sunday April 2.2006 show in Houston,Texas

The "JMV Coin and Currency Show" will be at the Hilton Houston Southwest (US Hwy 59 at Hillcroft).Hours :10am - 4pm Admission:$2.00 Early Buyers Admission:$5.00 (9am -10am only).Win a $100.00 shopping spree drawing at 3:30pm.

First of all,we are not a club show,we are a commercial show so not to be confused with other Houston area club coin shows.

We do most of our shows on Sundays because some of our dealers either own or work for coin shops in the Houston area.So it easier for them to set up.

Some of the Houston area coin shops that will be represented include Royal Coins,Williams Coins, and Collectors Coin Shop. And from Victoria,TX -Numistrama Coin Shop.

Plus local show dealers such as Universal Numismatics,Bill Hooven,Creekside Tangible Assets. Also dealers from the Austin area,South Texas, and the Rio Grande Valley.

So come on down Sunday after church bring the entire family and enjoy one of the best one day shows in Texas.

Security will be on site both inside the hotel and patrolling the parking lot during the show.

Regular dealer tables are $75.00 each and we have a limited number of discounted center tables available for only $25.00 (NO BACK UP TABLE OR ELECTRICTY).

See you at the show !
