mkg... as far as I know those were unlicensed sets and PSA won't grade them... I have tried to submit the Ryan and it just gets rejected (twice now).

Unfortunately, con40 is correct. I submitted this Schmidt card to PSA about 2 years ago and it wasn't holdered. It's a cool card from Schmidt's playing days, but you'll have to keep it in a toploader for now.

SGC grades them? I just think they are a wee bit ugly for me but have at it. PSA has also graded 34 of these ugly cards and 1 Mcgwire, is this something they stopped grading like the 84 Nestle's?

PSA definitely doesn't grade this issue currently, nor have they in the last 4-5 years. That said - PSA has been inconsistent in the past on issues like this.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    jackstraw,

love that auction link......"SGC IS A WELL KNOWN GRADER OUT OF CANADA"

I guess they've moved Canada to Parsippany, NJ and never told anyone.
  • I emailed the above comment to the seller and his reply was something like "Canada wouldnt have NJ"....

I guess the sarcasm was lost on him as he still claims in the auction that SGC is a Canadian company.
