Nice show Sunday April 1st in Illinois

The Quad City Coin Club is Hosting their show at the Milan, Illinois Community Center on the south side of town on US 67. It's what I would call a mid-sized show with a lot of nice material and friendly folks. There are gifts for the kids, a kids auction and several nice displays at this show. It runs from 9 to 4 PM. All the dealers say this is one of their favorite shows of the year and we collectors feel the same way.

I've been to this show a couple of times. Its not close for me, but I enjoyed it so much, I've gone back a few times. Try it you'll like it!

Tables? Types of coins?

My recollection is that its more of a collector's show. Lots of smaller dealers (40, or so) with more raw coins than slabbed. Although slabs are pretty well represented too. Overall, it has a friendly feeling-- lots of collector talk, families browsing, etc.

It is a good show - I wish I could go but I will be in Chicago for the Int'l Coin Fair to meet with my fellow "darksiders" (including Him Madness!)

Others have reported about the show quite well. I think we have 45 tables this year and a little of everything turns up in the dealers cases.

I can tell you that all 3 of my local dealers, who I have spoke highly of, will be there. I just wish my coin budget was in a stronger position right now

I'll have fun anyway with the displays I will have there. As I have always said, if you don't enjoy and appreciate what you have, no matter how little, too much will never be enough to make you happy either.

No, but it's just as you are heading out of Milan on Route 67 and there will be sign's saying "Coin Show" on both sides of the road and also one indicating that the Community Center is located there also as I remember. It's on the east side of the road.

My gosh, I have the wrong date! It's April 2nd and it is SUNDAY as the title of the thread suggests. I'm truly sorry for the goof up.

Oo... There is also a show on the 1st in Bloomington. I believe there are over 80 tables at the show onthe second. There is a great selection at these show each year!
