HSN / '03 and '04 Jefferson Rolls

Flipping channels last night and came across the two dorks who sell coins on HSN.

They were offering an 8 roll set of '03 and '04 P&D Jeff Nickels for $99.95 +$9.95 shipping.

(2 rolls P & 2 rolls D of each year, $16 face)

One of them recently said that he opens proof sets with a hammer.

This is very disturbing since the odds a losing an eye this way are extremely high.

The '03 rolls do carry a significant premium even when they are not mint wrapped. The others carry a small premium.

I saw that also, but on this particular item, thats not too far above what they were going for from the mint. Now there was another item they were selling, I forget which that was really riduculous.

Maybe we should buy him a larger hammer, say one of those that they use at the amusement parks on those bell ringers!

I think the 04-P Peace carry a premium too... unless they finally dropped.
