Nickel Rolls from the early 60's...What should I look for?

Hello all...
An older co-worker dropped these off knowing that I collect coins and asked me if there was anything special about the coins. I am not a nickel collector and told him I would check it out.
These rolls where put away in the early 60's when he and his dad collected. There is 1-1961 roll, 2 from 1962 , 2 from 1964. There is also 3 rolls of mixed dates labeled 40's,50's and 60's.
One or two of the end coins have been toned to rainbow colors.

Is there anything worth while to look for in these rolls?

Also, how in the world do I get them out of these old holders? I was only able to remove half the coins from one roll because they were stuck in there pretty good with a lot of pounding. I'm guessing the only way is to break the plastic somehow....

Any opinions would help, Thanks........

Umm... send them to me... I'll be very interested in purchasing the whole lot...

Or... look for Full Step coins... RPM's... and DDO/R's

    Break plastic carefully!!!!

I cut the plastic almost through longitudinally with a hacksaw.

There is rarely anything of interest in such rolls because they are excessively common and poorly made.

Gems can be quite rare and valuable with full steps. There are some varieties as well.

i have quite a few 60-D OBW rolls (13) and was going to search, until someone made the comment that it was a waste to look for fs coins, as most appear to have wheelchair ramps instead of stepsimage

so they sit in the box

It has been recommended here that those ridiculously tight rolls can be overcome by putting them in a freezer. Supposedly the metal contracts but the plastic does not. That advice was for cents, but maybe it will work with these.
