Currency question?

I got a $5 dollar bill today in change, it came from the New York Federal reserve and is a 1993 series bill. I tried looking in books and at ebay, but according to these sources, no $5 dollar bill was made in 1993 from the New York Federal Reserve!?! Now I understand that I am COMPLETELY in the wrong forum but, I figured that someone here could either verify or deny this information. Thank you for any help!

I don't have the proper references but they did make 1993 fives for around two years so it would be a little surprising if they didn't make some for the NY fed district..
