I have a Canadian customer who requested I use a silver bullion tax-exempt code on the customs tag when I ship his coins.
I've been mailing to Canada for years and never heard of this.
Does anyone else have any knowledge of this?
He sent me a link to the "Canadian government site" that defines this exemption, but all I get is a blank page.

My girlfriend is in Canada and she gets hairclips that cost her a tax when shipped from China. She said it is not cheap. I told her to shave her head. She didn't think that was funny.

I simply won't ship outside the US anymore. Since 9/11 things have changed in every aspect. I had a package of coins confiscated and was sent a warning letter that further such transactions could result in my arrest for tax evasion.
Customs will open, destroy, hold for 90 days and then ship you a ruined product when ordering from outside the US.
They've destroyed two very rare and valuable antique tube radios for me. The $$ lost was bad enough, the destruction of the radios was heartbreaking.
I used to order prescription drugs from Canada as well. The last order was a couple of years ago and I got my package, empty with a letter telling me that I could claim my property within 10 days, at which point I would be arrested and put on trial with possible penalties of 5 years in jail and a 20K fine. If I did not respond in 10 days, they would keep my prescription.
Gotta love the morons in charge of the borders these days!!
