I normally don't do show & tells, mainly because most of what I have isn't really worth showing. But this is something that I really like, and really feel it is worthy of sharing.

Now that I have it, I am trying to figure out how to protect it. Do they make airtites this large?? It is rather thick, the rim is as thick as 2 US quarters stacked, but the bust is very high relief, and when laid flat on my scanner, the rim doesn't even touch the glass (which is why the obverse legends seem blurry)

Nice medal.

Air-tite makes a capsule that has a ring size of 47 mm (Model Y) and a depth of 5.486 mm. This place also has capsules in exact sizes and has one for 47 mm, though I don't know how deep it is (you could probably email them to find out).

A real beauty - It is a bummer to try to find the oversize capsule for medals - I have a couple that are also too thick for any I have seen.
