There is a board memeber/customer that wonders why I send my darkside stuff to NGC to be graded!

This is why!!

Your shipment was entered on 01/21/2006. Further processing is pending

It's modern Canadian stuff! For the time it takes PCGS to grade a modern darkside order, I can have 3 orders done a NGC!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    I totally agree with you.

All my Darkside are sent to NGC because the wait at PCGS is just too longggggggggg.

Maybe the customer knows what he wants and is willing to wait?

But the customer doesn't have to pay for the grading fees upfront!

Just gouge him when they do come in. Use some creative pricing, call it something like a "lost opportunity" or "cost of money" fee.

Some TPGs charge your credit card right away. Others wait until the coins are graded.

Yikes, at least ANACS has finally charged my card for the coin I sent them in January. Of course, that may not necessarily mean they are doing anything with it. image

I agree with you. I don't like the NGC holder, or their grading for Canadian coins...so I rarely buy them. On the other hand I really like the PCGS holder, and snap them up when available. So I know which TPG service I would send coins to....

I think PCGS brings the most money, but I like the NGC holder better. PCGS takes too long with world coins, but NGC undergrades hammered coins often by a full grade.
