What's with the MS on coins less that 60??????

I was just looking at my dime set and noticed all the grades are MS. MS8 just doesn't look right. Like VG08!!!!

When did they start doing this????? And why????????????????

I noticed this change, also.

NGC has been doing this for a long time and it looks very unprofessional to me. If it's VG then it's VG, not MS 8. Mint state means mint state. I hope PCGS can fix this as I cannot believe how bad it looks. I've always thought NGC shouldn't do this either. Perhaps we should ask BJ or DH.

Is it possible that they're designating a business strike so it wouldn't be confused with an impaired proof?

Nah, its probly some sort of consistency thingy to make it easier and more convenient for a computer programmer.

I suppose typing all those different letters is time consuming. Time is money. Perhaps they will soon go to the next step, and change all the numbers to 70. That would really save time!!! Wait a minute...I am on a cost savings roll here. Imagine how much time they could save on crossovers if they simply put a PCGS sticker over the other companies slabs. Big savings on time and plastic material costs there. I have more ideas, but I would have to bill myself out as a consultant.
