WTB: Stationed in Iraq Looking for (15) 2006 PCGS MS69 First Strike American Silver Eagles
Hello all,
Some of you may know me and some of you may not. I used to post mostly before 2003 before the war started here in Iraq. Well, I am still here and will be headed home in about 46 days. I am now in the Army working as a Civil Affairs Team Sergeant. I am looking to get some Silver Eagles for some people that have done a great job for us. These people are my teammates and are also Iraqi Interpreters who worked for us. Every one of these people have put their lives on the line and did an excellent job in everything that we have done in this country. As the Team Sergeant, I want to issue these Soldiers and Interpreters something directly from me and not through the military.
Now, I am looking for the best. I am looking for (15) 2006 PCGS MS69 First Strike American Silver Eagles. The coins will be mailed directly to Iraq through my APO AE mailing address and should be in a PCGS hard case as mail tends to get thrown around a bit here. The price I am shooting for is $18-$20 per coin + S/H/I.
At this time it is my night time and I do have missions early in the morning and afternoon through the evening. Basically, I will check back on this sometime on Monday morning US Eastern Standard Time.
Thanks for you help,
SFC Matthew Wyatt

I made the news here at the Al Hamra Hotel in Baghdad where two large car bombs exploded. I was actually telling an Iraqi Army soldier to take his position. The Ministry of Interior was actually at fault for this mess as they were directed to secure the road where the car bombs traveled. They failed at that job as they abandoned their position a few weeks prior to this incident.

Wow, this thread got my attention ... I just sold a coin to a member, so I'll put some $$ aside from that sale, to purchase you 1 of the 2006 ASEs and will look to coordinate the other 14 ASEs, to then ship them for free to you and your folks.
I'll take it from here my friend, as all of you over there are the TRUE heroes, that all of us over here are very appreciative for all of your committments.
More to follow and thanks again for all that you do, day in and day out ... your fellow country men and women SALUTE YOU!!!
Chris
I love Ike dollars and all other dollar series !!!
I also love Major Circulation Strike Type Sets, clad Washingtons ('65 to '98) and key date coins !!!!!
If ignorance is bliss, shouldn't we have more happy people ??
Not sure if anyone else was touched with this post, as I was.
I am going to secure the purchase of at least 1 of these ASEs, try to coordinate another 14 of these by various methods (contributions of $$, a 2006 ASE or two or three and/or make up the difference to get to 15 of them) and will then put them in one of my PCGS boxes, and ship them to Matthew, at NO cost to him.
I will also add a link on the US Coin Forum, so feel free to respond to either of the posts, PM me, or e-Mail me at fantasiize@hotmail.com, as I would like to leverage Matthew's time and $$, by looking to do all of this for him.

I can't let you do this for me for free. Really.

Unfortunately, given some good forum member support already, I think you no longer have a say on this ...
Keep doing what you are doing, and we'll continue to update you on our progress.
