Crossover question

Let's say hypothetically image that there is a pedigreed and well-known (finest-known) coin in an NGC MS-65 holder that has previously been documented to be in a PCGS MS-65 holder, and this documentation was readily available. Now, let's say the new owner of this coin, for the purposes of aesthetics would like to get the coin crossed back to a PCGS holder. What is the best way to go about doing this?

Send it to Laura, and have her use her charm into getting PCGS to re-holder it. Taping a $100 bill to the back of the slab wouldn't hurt either!

    Show service!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

be pretty sure it will slab at ms65 and send it in raw, you may have to resubmit it a few times to get the ms65 depending on the series

They want it back in their holder if its a finest known- They will recognize the coin and gladly put it back in their 5 holder.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

The hypothetical was my recently purchased 1857-D gold dollar. I submitted the coin with the page from the Heritage auction catalog in its NGC MS-62 holder (no minimum grade), and PCGS holdered the coin MS-62 "Eliasberg" within two hours AND they were very friendly, accomodating, and helpful at the table. It was the best service I have ever received from PCGS. image

RYK PCGS wants those kinda coins in ITS holders, esp. with that pedigree, it was real easy to get my 1840-0 $5 Pittman coin crossed, it was the easy as pie.!!image
