Question for old timers/frankie experts: is it true that pcgs didn't put FBL on 1st gen slabs?

This has been alleged, and I am dubious. Surely the FBL designation was in use in the late 80's? Thanks in advance, and if anyone has an image of same, it would help.

They started designating FBLs around '97.

Hey pharmer- how are you buddy? All true- older slabs had no FBL designation just like the older slabs had no CAM/DCAM designations.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

Thank you all, gentlemen. Now it boils down to whether or not the seller is telling the truth that the coin is in fact fbl, sans a decent reverse image. He probably would have upgraded himself if so, so I think I won't get fooled. Thanks again.
