Question about set registry

I just bought an 1880-CC 8/high 7 PCGS MS64 and was going to enter it into my basic circulation strike registry set, but it won't allow me. Is this correct? Is the only set I can enter this coin into a variety set? I wanted to use this as my 1880-CC, but I guess I might have to sell it and get one labeled 1880-CC without a variety on it if that is the case.
