Ebay sellers - What is your highest sale?

I got this idea off the Beckett boards (no, not a member, just read every now and then). What is your highest sale on Ebay. Not for a lot. Only individual cards or a complete sets. Give both if you would like.

Mine -

One card - 1984 Donruss Mattingly PSA 10 - $850

Set - 1953 Topps Complete Set - $3,892.00

    I don't think I've ever sold a set. If I ever complete one, it ends up deep in a closet for down the road.

    How long ago did you sell your '53 set? What kind of condition was it in? Wish I had one of those.

    sold some 1957s to pay for a case of 05 heritage last year.....sorry i did!!

    How the heck did you get that out of an 06 Heritage Bonds? Was is gold plated? Am I missing something? Good job!

    I sold my 53 Topps Set about 3 years ago. I had $1700 in it, so I cleared over 2 grand on it. I wish I could find about one per week!! It averaged around VG.

    #1 '99 Topps Gold Label Vince Carter Red Label #13/25 $325.00

    #2 '97ish (??) UD Terrell Davis Jersey Card (old bright orange jersey) $315.00

    both cards coincidentally came from blaster boxes out of a K-Mart

    Edit: I have sold other items on Ebay that put these cards to shame price wise.
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    1954 Topps Baseball set in PSA 7 NQ minus 4 cards. $12,000

    Sold it to a board member & good guy.
    Orioles cards from 1960 to today.

    Guys, that Bonds Loth is talking about was a BLACK refractor. 1 of 57.

    Also, each of Bonds black refractors came with a needle and some juice. So, can we all see why the high price now image

    I believe my best was a 1995 Bowman's Best Andruw Jones Refractor BGS 9 which I sold for $680 last year.

    I have never sold on eBay, but I do have vague memories of my highest buys on eBay cards. The smoke would clear and I would think "Why did I just bid on that?". Drugs and eBay--not a good combination.

    p.s. I can't believe pandrews posted on a thread with this title and did not make a similiar comment.
    I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

    1981 Donruss Golf Ray Floyd PSA 10 $1025

    It went from $280ish to $1025 in the last 10 seconds. I almost lost it. I could not believe it. SMR is $180 I think. It was 1 of 2 at the time. Funny thing is, I had it on Naxcom for $300 the entire time it was on the bay.

    A 1990 Leaf Sammy Sosa PSA 10 $ 265.00 What a deal, the bottom has sure fell out of that baby, I saw one sell on e bay the other day for 80.00

    I got $600 for my Sosa leaf 10 but that was 4 years ago

    Griffey 89 donruss rookies 10 $300+

    89 ud Johnson psa 10 $250+

    Best ever though is a tie... 1996 finest gold refractor GREG Maddux $900 now books at $40 I think.

    Salada Tea coin Jackie Brandt spelled Orioles $900 and I think I let it go too cheap. It was a best offer type thing to end the auction. I was so shocked to get that much in an offer I said yes and found out after that I should have held out.

    Bought 2 APBA 1959 baseball and football games unopened at a yard sale for $1 each three years ago. Got almost $200 each for those.

    Oh wait... PSA 9 JOrdan rookie I forgot! $2100 plus a Yaz rookie that I need for a set, also a side offer.

    Wow Ive done better than I thought now that I go back and look at it.

    Mine was a 1913 National Game Cobb in a PSA 9. $1,650. New i should have hung on to it. I think it's over 2G's now.

    1969 topps mickey mantle psa 6 white letter $623.99.card was from my personal collection as i was 9 years old way back then.

    did you sell that a couple of years ago? a psa 6 now sells for (at least) $1000.

    I sold a 1955 Bowman Football Set (minus 3 cards) for $10,000 a few years back to a great member of this board. The sale went perfectly and both sides were very happy with the transaction. It was the #1 set at the time. I don't think I will ever be in that position again.image
