KM# needed

This coin is not listed in my 2002 edition, but hopefully someone with a newer edition might be able to help.

Macedonia, 1 denar, dated 2000.

Note: the obverse is the same as KM#9, but the reverse is different (reverse of KM#2). I wonder if perhaps this might be a mule?? I doubt it, as I got it from a reputable German dealer on eBay, for only a couple bucks.

    KM# 2. There is no 2000 listed. There is a 1997 and a 2001 though. -Dan

I did not see your note at the bottom. My 33rd edition Krause does not have your coin in it, You may have a special issue or possibly a mule? -Dan

I have the 2006 Krause, and that coin isn't in it. The reverse with the "1" and the rays is only shown for KM #2, but it has a sheep dog on the obverse. KM #2 is brass - no size given.

The obverse you show is only on the 2000 Denar (KM #9), but its reverse has a thing for "2000 Years of Christianity" - a rendering of a Byzantine copper follis. KM #9 is bronze 23.8 mm.

Same info as my 2002. When I first saw this on an eBay auction, I e-mailed the seller, asking if there was a mistake in his photos, but he assured me it was real. It was only a couple bucks, and the same seller also had the 2 new Bosnian coins I needed, so I grabbed one, just for the heck of it. Time will tell.
