Actually, now that you mention it, that may be the case. I didn't even see it. I can't make out the lettering, but there is not a box on the picture in Krause, just the cross of Malta (or whatever that is). Interesting antiquing/toning though. I wonder if the person who BINned it made the same mistake I did. I wouldn't think that a modern proof would be worth $188...
If that is a copy marker, it's one of the least obtrusive I've seen...
