This sort of thing seems to be getting more common, I understand that several dealers had problems like this after FUN. We'll keep an eye out on our end of town!

Ouch!! That hurts. At least he wasn't personally attacked.

    This is outrageous and infuriating.

Given the recent rash of such thefts, does it make sense for anyone to travel alone and leave a car/contents unguarded at any time?

What would a security service or travelling buddy cost vs potential losses?

I know (or hope) they are insured (but at face/replacement/or other value?), but still.... these days, being listed as a seller at a show on many different websites and/or programs gives the unscrupulous enough advance warning to scout out the ones with valuable inventories and/or inadequate security, not to mention to be able to determine routes, cars, etc in making plans to steal!

It would seem there needs to be a new caveat: "SELLER beware!"imageimage

Mapquest tells me that the distance from Baltimore to St. Clairesville OH is slightly over 300 miles. The crime itself is aweful, but the distance that the dealer was followed (if it turns out that he was indeed followed from Baltimore) is beyond disturbing.
