buying un-certified gold coins

Will you all recommend a listing of GOOD (safe) coin dealers for USA gold coins.
NOT in MS grades, but from VF45 to AU58. In particular the $1 gold, $5 Libertys, and $20 Libertys.
I don't mind buying unslabbed, but only from businesses that guarantee their gold coins are genuine.
I've looked at Harlan Burk's site, but some seem a little high. I sent an email asking them if they guarantee their un-certified gold coins as real gold and they said yes.
Thanks

That sounds like a stunningly bad idea.

Seems when buying any PCGS or NGC, and some ANACS coins, one is paying for the holder instead of the metal. Slabbing is nice and effective for sure, but it seems so inconsistant. Just an opinion.

if one buys slowly. slabbed that is by anacs/ngc/pcgs
Coin / What I Paid / What I Saw in the Picture / What Arrived / What Happened
1900 $2.50 / $375.00 / MS Luster & Details / Hairlines / Returned For Full Refund & Seller Paid Return Shipping + Paypal Fees!!
1900 $5.00 / $195.00 / MS Luster & Details / Very Nice Coin / NGC63 - Kept for my Collection.
1900 $10.00 / $295.00 / MS Luster & Details / Very Nice Coin / NGC63 - Kept for my Collection.
1900 $20.00 / $675.00 / NTC MS64 (May as well have been raw, right?) / Heavy Bag Marks, Average Strike, I would rate MS61/ Returned, Paid Shipping 2 Ways
1914-D $2.50 / $185.00 / MS Luster & Details + STRONG STRIKE / Cleaned / Still have - plan on selling sometime soon / Lost Money Here.
1914-D $10.00 / $515.00 / MS Luster & Details / Very Nice Coin / NGC63 - Kept for my Collection.
To be fair, this was all done about 2 years ago - maybe things have changed.

Also, if they have a decent inventory, you'll have the opportunity to pick out the nicer coins and avoid the dipped and "cleaned" ones.
By buying slabbed coins, you know they're genuine and (most likely) haven't been cleaned, but the grading services do slab dipped gold.

He told me --he'd probably just melt it if nobody buys it in a week.
You need to visit shops and look and you'd be amazed at some of the good coins out there that somebody will buy and mark 20% on ebay.
The type of coin you are looking for is all around but not on ebay.

Risk is to high in my opinion.....

Wrong question. Most all counterfeits you see will also be real gold as well.
