Anyone seen the new colorful 10 dollar bills - in hand?

Got some at the bank today.

They are the best looking of the newly colored currency (in my opinion).

The whole design works well together.

Got one a few days ago and had to take a double-take. The most arresting feature is the background paper--it is more of a bone color than the white we're used to. The bill has so much color that it's really got a late-19th century feel to it. I like it a lot.

Yeah, I like 'em. However, I just got back from Australia and they have some very cool and very colorful bills. And they're made out of plastic...

I had someone pick me up some Aussie bills a few years ago and I picked up some New Zealand bills 2 years back, they are kinda neat. Took me a while to get used to plastic currency though.

Malaysia also uses plastic. I would imagine many other countries are either considering or already using plastic.

Got one yesterday; really looks different from the "old new" bill. Lots of neat things, holograms, little "10"'s in the paper, the face in the oval on the reverse.

I think the new $10 bills are our nicest revised currency...but I also believe US currency is far behind in comparison to many other nations and their artistic and functional currency.

I also think they're the best looking bill. I use bill changers in my business and I called the guy I use for maintenance to find out when they would have a new chip to accept the new bills. He said it's probably be in about a month or so. Couple days ago I pulled a new ten out of a changer? Got to looking at them and they're not much different design-wise, just color-wise. Must be that all the things the bill validator looks at is the same!

I just got one a few days ago at the grocery store. I really like it too. It`s a Peach color. The torch of The Statue Of Liberty on the left side and where the date use to be. On the right side in Peach says " We The People " written in the calligraphy style.

We've had them around here for about 2 weeks now. My local dealer sold me one at 20% on top of face. (NOT) I was at the bank and was cashing a check. Askied what kind of bills I wanted, I mentioned a few of the new $10s which I got a couple. The teller told me she had someone come back with them a couple days earlier because a store would not accept them.

I like 'em too. I like the "symbols of freedom" approach to the designs.

Are they planning on redesigning the $1 this time or leaving it out again. It would be nice to see a matching set for all denominations.

I like the new $10s, except that Hamilton is still looking the wrong way. When the portrait was centered, it didn't matter that he looked left while everyone else looked right. But now that the picture is offset to the left, it looks weird; especially compared with the new $20s and $50s.

(Yes, this was a problem on the previous design as well.)

I have 5 UNC $10, all straight from the bank. My father and I split 10 of them out of the stack he got. Already sent a few to other countries including Spain and Finland.

Get your loupe out and check out the micro-printing. Really neat. So is the color shifting ink. Not new features but fun to look at.

I only got a brief glimpse last weekend...my cheap brother-in-law got one in change and immediately crammed it into his wallet.

I think it said "We the people"...is this correct?

Me and MrsSpud were in Palm Springs last weekend and we stopped in a Casino. The slot machines wouldn't accept the new $10 bill.

I don't foresee the government redesigning the $1 anytime soon. The purpose of redesigning the other denominations is to ward off counterfeiting, but who's going to counterfeit a $1 bill? It's not economical, I think.

Here is the new $10. The color is a peach color and more vibrant then the picture shows.

That's a cool looking bill, except for the peach color. I like the "We the People" motto, and the fact that they nixed the oval around Hamilton's head.

The government is going to have to make all the currency pretty colorful if they think anyone is going to want them.....

Pretty soon we will have to be carting baskets of the new $10's in order to buy lunch.....

The color of that bill is just wrong. It makes me think "interior decorator". I guess part of the government strategy is to make people want to spend them as quickly as possible.

I receive one in my change about 2-weeks ago. I really like the design, and The "We The People" is a nice touch.
