and prolly ONLY double eagle From Julian Leidman today....
a 1892-S CH Au
this completes what is for me my gold "short set" along with
1892 Eagle / 58
1881 Half / VF
I know this is all widgety stuff to most , but for me as a morgan guy, I needed a little something in the set...
ok, ok maybe a St G, and thats it !!!!

You've got that right. It makes you feel good to own something like that.
It will not be your last Liberty either, I think your hooked.
My website
My example is an NGC MS62, probably would be higher if not for the gouge near the cheek.
You are going to look at that GOLD and sooner or later a little birdie will say---BUY MORE, BUY MORE tweet tweet tweet.
To paraphrase TOPSTUFF...give a girl a MORGAN--get a good night kiss*. Give a girl GOLD-watchout.
You're hooked--just admit it. There's nothing like the yellow stuff.
*on the cheek
"Come and get me, come and get me, come and get me."
That is what gold coins say when they are sitting in some dealer's case. It's sick.
In case I am not supposed to quote that without a reference, it's from City Slickers 2

Well, I haven't looked for them since last summer, but dealers at the Colorado Springs show were asking $190-$225 for common-date 19th century quarter eagles in ANACS and NGC AU 58. Price of gold has risen a little since then, and dealers I've talked to say that anything they get sells immediately, so I might have to adjust my estimate up to around $250. But it still should be do-able.
NGC MS62 (crackout).
I liked the luster so much, it was sitting next to a 10 Lib that i thought was cleaned, I think it removed any doubt of that. This coin made it look pale.
My lighting sucks, but this is my nicest gold in-hand.
btw, seeing those scans... how friggin perfect do the lines in the paper match up I couldn't have done that if I tried....
