Ya I've yet to submit a coin to have it graded and slabbed. How do I go about doing that?

The first coin looks too clean, I sispect maybe a whizzing? I'd grade it AU50 by wear but I wouldn't expect it to holder.

The second coin was absloutely cleaned, you can see the dirt still trapped inthe deeper parts of the design, especially on the reverse. Maybe VF35 by wear, but it will never in a holder.

The third coin looks like a Good-6 and would probably grade out at PCGS, though why you would want to is anyone's guess.

I think it may be because of the pictures. I took some new ones and these I think came out better...

    G6 on the Barber half

Definite G6 on the Barber Half. Not enough rim for VG8.

The Morgans looked cleaned/whizzed from your photos.

    The Morgans still look cleaned.

    The Barber is G6 IMHO

You may want to work on your white balance adjustment, the colors seem off.

None are worth the cost of submission anywhere, although SEGS may give you MS on the Morgans image

The Morgans do look to be BodyBag candidates. The lighting seems to be a little funky....... image

the barber is a decent coin g6, the two morgans are heavy cleaning victims they will not slab w pcgs, keep them as pocket pieces or use them for fillers if your builing a set.

    Konsole,
$35 would be well spent on a nice MS63 common Morgan. Comparing it to these coins would give you a lesson worth far more than $35. If you submitted those, you would have waisted that much and have only two body bags to show for it.

    Good luck.

  • those 2 Morgan have altered surfaces (cleaning or whizzing) you can tell in the 1889 there is a complete circle (that stops just short of the lettering on the obverse)within the Morgan, this is caused by a VERY POOR whiz job.imageimageimage Do not waste your money having those UGLY Morgans body bagged. Spend the $36 on a nice UNCIRCULATED 1889 or '90 Morgan. As for the Barber half it would probbaly grade out as G-4 maybe VG-8 at best, but don't waste your money on grading that either!

I agree with some others that the unnatural looking color/lighting is making it hard to really evaluate the morgans- but my first impression is that they have been cleaned pretty well. Do you have any MS morgans in quality holders (or have a shop nearby that does) that you can compare to?
