i am pretty happy with this one, what do you guys think. thia is goin in my kids buffalo album.
edited to add. well i guess it isnt going in their album because i just tried to put it in and i didnt realize it was a little biger that the hole.
i will send it out for slabbing and they can keep it with the album.

Neat coin either way.
smittys
thanks for posting the pics

if its a broadstrike instead of an off center does that affect the price ? and how can you tell a broadstrike from an off center.
thanks

Yes, it would on a Buffalo nickel affect the price.
As much as the planchet is showing on the unstruck portion there should be and equal amount of missing detail on the other end. Your coin appears to have full detail all the way around thus leading me to believe it's a broadstrike.
<< <i>There's a couple mm's of extra coin at 1 o'clock but no missing design elements opposite. Suggests that is bigger than a normal buffalo. That suggests an off-center broadstrike. >>
By definition, unless it is perfectly centered, most broadstrikes are off centered.
The premium though for a true off center is due to the fact they're much more scarce than a broadstrike.
thanks for the info guys.
now i know what to look for.
