Think "yeah". According to http://postcalc.usps.gov/, you can send a one-pound Priority Mail package (when the length plus girth (the distance around the thickest part) of a package equals 84 inches or less) to anywhere Domestically for $4.05 postage. I doubt highly any coin you might send plus packing materials is going to weigh more than a pound.
BUT----> this IS without insurance. So that might be a consideration.
Some advise doing to make potential thieving PO workers think twice about stuffing an evelope in their pocket. Kinda hard to put a box in your pocket and have it go undetected. The downside is that your home mailbox will be stuffed with just one or more boxes. That's why some recommend a P.O. Box for all coin deliveries......but then PayPal won't allow a P.O. Box as a confirmed address. At least I have rural style mailbox... you know, the kind out by the curb that will handle quite a bit of incoming mail.

I have a P.O. Box as a confirmed address.
I already had a confirmed address at my residence, and I changed one of my credit cards to have my P.O. Box as the billing address. Then I changed the address associated with that card on PayPal, and the P.O. box became confirmed.
Ive been shipping coins in the 5 x 8 x 1.5" Priority boxes for years with zero problems. I put the coin/slab in a used bubble mailer and put in the box. It doesn't rattle and weighs very little. The box is big enough to be somewhat difficult to steal. Best of all, the boxes are free.

I just mailed a 1 pound 13 1/2 oz priority box today from San Diego to the midwest. It coct $5.70 plus 50 cents for a delivery confirmation. There was over $800 in coins at my cost in the box. I have found it's lots safer to ship items without the blue insurance tags and high postage that acts like beacons to postal thieves.
Priority Mail is much cheaper then registered, just as safe and best of all a 12x12x8 box goes from Illinois to California in 2-3 days...Registered mail takes 2 weeks or longer going the same distance...
