ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PINNACLE RARITIES, INC.
![GOLDGUY](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/new icon 3.jpg)
Dear Fellow Numismatists --
In early 1992, Kathleen Duncan and I founded Pinnacle Rarities and for nearly 15 years, I have helped guide and grow this company into one of the nations most prominent and successful rare coin firms. Please know that I am eternally grateful for your business, support and friendship over these many years.
However, as proud and content as I am with our achievement, I have decided to leave Pinnacle to accept a leading position at Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers in Dallas, Texas. Suffice to say, they made me an offer that was simply too good to refuse. Despite the benefits and exciting challenges that await me at Heritage, leaving Pinnacle and the lifestyle my family enjoys here in the Pacific Northwest has been the most emotional and difficult decision I’ve ever made.
In all candidness, it is heartbreaking to be leaving the team here at Pinnacle. Kathleen Duncan has been a terrific business partner, contributing a level of intelligence and a sense of ethics that is unsurpassed anywhere in the numismatic industry. The other great people here at Pinnacle that will continue to support Kathleen are among the most professional, enthusiastic and efficient as any I have seen and I will miss working with them all tremendously.
I hope our paths will cross again and you will give me an opportunity to work with you during my tenure at Heritage. As far as Pinnacle goes, Kathleen plans to make it the best it’s ever been in the coming years. Her husband Dan Duncan will be soon joining her in managing the company. He is well known and highly respected and formerly worked as Vice President of U.S. Coins, one of the largest wholesalers in the industry. I have no doubt that you will continue to receive the same great service and expert advice as I trust you enjoyed while I was part of this company.
My last official day here will be April 30th and I then plan to take off a couple weeks to finalize my move and take a short vacation with my wife and two young boys before starting my new job in Dallas on May 15th. I encourage you to contact me with any questions or comments you may have.
Most sincerely,
Todd

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Not anymore... lol
Congratulations on your job... could you please get Heritage to fix their auction archives so it's easier to find prices realized on a specific coin in a specific holder and grade... Teletrade blows them away in that area.

At least you'll get there in time to enjoy the summer

I hope you are happy in your new job. You will no doubt miss living in the Pacific NW.
Thanks for the update.
Here's to wishing both you/Heritage and Pinnacle the very best.
Does that mean we won't be seeing you up at Roche Harbor anymore??
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Best of luck with Heritage.
Those of us that have dealt with Pinnacle will miss you in your company.
I agree that Katy will continue to provide outstanding leadership in Lakewood, Wa.

Pacific NW to Dallas Texas. That is rough climate wise. My wife's daughter came down and lasted from August until May. She said she had never been so hot, then so cold, then so hot again in her life. She went back to Bellingham Washington.
Todd, please, if your vehicles don't have air conditioning get some before showing up down here. And congratulations and good luck to you and your family.

Nice going, amigo.
Todd, best of luck to you. I certainly enjoyed our moments of communication and the opportunity to work with Pinnacle on my family's collection. I know you'll do well in your new position with Heritage. Having just moved our household 900 miles, in the past month, from a nice Kentucky climate to a cold northeast lingering winter, I send you my sympathy on the WA ---> TX part of this change!
Travel safe, have fun, enjoy

Heritage has gained another great guy! I hope you can live in "Flatland". I'm sure you'll prosper there! I also wish Katy and Danny all the best. Perhaps if you get restless in Dallas, they'll send you a jar of rain water. I hope we'll still see you at the shows!

In the relatively short time I have gotten to know you, you have proven time and time again, you are a man of great ethics and trustworthiness; a man of your word............. you clearly stand out from the pack.
I can only wish you and your family all the very best, in the move, and in the excitement this new position holds for you.
You deserve it!
Best Regards,
Dr. Steve A.

MY PCGS SAINTS REGISTRY SET
I've lived in Dallas for 12 years. Moved from Washington, DC so that was a big adjustment. The first year I hated living here. The second year it was ok. By the time the third year rolled around I liked living here. Don't think I'll ever love it but it has a lot of advantages.
Also this is such an accomplishment for Todd and I know he is very excited and he will make Heritage more impressive than it already is.
I am extremely happy for Todd, and this deserved position.
One personal trait about Todd that comes to mind, is the fact that he really tries to help the collector the best he can, in finding the best coins, at reasonable prices. He tries his best to put you in the black, and will steer you away from "problem coins" He is honest !
My utmost best wishes in your new job, and I thank you for almost ALL, the highest highlights, that I have experienced, as a coin collector.

Todd Imhof Joins Heritage Team
(Dallas, TX) – One of the numismatic profession’s most respected leaders, Todd L. Imhof, has been named a Vice President of Heritage Auction Galleries, Dallas, Texas (www.HeritageAuctions.com), the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer.
Imhof, a co-founder of Pinnacle Rarities in Lakewood, Washington, is a former Chairman of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA) and a member of the Consumer Protection Committee of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG). Well-known in the profession for numerous transactions involving famous and finest known numismatic rarities, he will oversee private treaty sales at Heritage beginning May 15, 2006.
“Todd has one of the best personal and professional reputations in numismatics. With his impeccable integrity and professionalism, he is a trusted advisor to many of the largest, most sophisticated coin collectors in the country,” said Greg Rohan, Heritage President.
In 1993, at the age of only 25, Imhof became one of the youngest dealers ever accepted as a PNG member. He served as ICTA Chairman from 2002 to 2005.
Although he originally did not intend to become a rare coin dealer, his numismatic career began in 1991.
“I studied international finance in college and had accepted a position with a major Wall Street bank. But through a couple of twists of fate, I deferred my employment in New York to join a high school classmate’s company, Hertzberg Rare Coins, in Tacoma, Washington. I quickly acquired an appreciation for the history and artistry of coins, and more important, I found I loved dealing with collectors,” said Imhof.
In 1991, he acquired assets of Hertzberg and co-founded Pinnacle Rarities with Kathleen Duncan.
“Since then, I’ve specialized in high-quality, rare U.S. coins, working closely with savvy collectors, connoisseurs and investors who are assembling many of the largest and most prestigious collections. I’ll be eternally grateful for the business, support and friendship of so many people over the past 15 years,” Imhof stated.
He and wife, attorney Heidi Imhof, have two sons, Nicholas, 5, and James, 4. The Imhofs have been active supporters of many civic and charitable organizations in the Seattle-Tacoma area.
In addition to his enjoyment of coins, Imhof collects Olympic medals and fine wines, and is an avid, competitive sailor.

Yes I do. And 1927-D Saints and Brashers and comic books and fine art and vintage Mickey Mouse watches and Mickey Mantle bats and . . .
see about getting that juice lowered to 10%, k thanks
I'll see what I can do. But my hunch is the probablity is slightly less than getting my new bosses to move to Seattle.
You will be the best employee they have!
Do you think I'll get my picture and name on a plaque in the lobby if I'm ever named "Employee of the Month"?
Does that mean we won't be seeing you up at Roche Harbor anymore?
You will absolutely see me again in the San Juan Islands! We were forewarned about Dallas in July and are keeping a Summer home on Puget Sound. I'll try to join my family on the weekends during that time.

Can you hook me up with a vintage Mickey?
Katy is a remarkable person with all the talent and resources necessary to keep Pinnacle at the highest levels in this industry. She has my best wishes for tremendous success and I look forward to working with my former colleagues in whatever way possible from my new position at Heritage.
. . . the ladies in Fort Worth are ........ GORGEOUS!
They were actually part of the pitch I received from the Heritage brass.
Welcome to Texas!
Wow. I'm really going to be a true Texan? When do I get to start using phrases like "Don't mess with Texas" or "Yee Haw"?
