1978 Mideast Peace Summit Type I (Raised Devises on the counterstamp)
Designed by Mel Wacks
1978 Mideast Peace Summit Type II (Incuse Devises on the counterstamp)
1993 Middle East Peace Accords, Probably also designed by Mel Wacks
This one commemorates Pink Floyd, The Band (Until I learn otherwise)
Or two guys named Floyd and Mark were together for 25 years.
What else is out there?

We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
The Second Amendment is in place in case they ignore the others.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and liberals.
Criminals love gun control, it makes their profession safer.
If guns are outlawed can we use swords?
A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone
Actually, I think that's retty cool. Why did they choose a peace dollar?

Just the symbolic value I'm sure. The designer of the top three is Jewish, big into coins, and therefore the interest in the Mideast
He also designed a counterstamp for a Papal visit to Mexico in 1979.
<< <i>Pretty cool. Someone here has some neat counterstamped Cleveland commems. >>
Keets collects those. They look pretty cool.
Very nice DNA. Those counterstamps have REAL meaning. I could see PCGS grading those eventually.imo

Possible it's a buzz saw aka whirlygig? If it were made by someone born in 1915, they'd have been maybe 12 to 15 years old given the condition of the coin (1923?)?
Whirlygig details made from replica pillar dollar

(reverse of an ike dollar)
Same coin, closer look:
... and in case that one didn't make you cringe enough...
Again, same coin, closer look:
I'm actually glad these two coins were counterstamped, otherwise I probably couldn't afford either variety.
