I had a submission of 10 coins ship out of PCGS today, 3/22. I live in Northern California...do you think I will get the coins by Wed. 3/28?

You should. I live in S. Fla. and they usually always get to me within five buisness days.

Depends on how the order was shipped. I live in the Bay Area, and at times it would take up to 10 days for registered mail to reach my address from Southern California.

It usually takes 2 days for me. The registered portion holds it up a bit as it has to be signed and caged at each step of the trip. I live in the bay area. Longest it has taken is 5 days.

10 days is ridiculous. I live in the Midwest and have never had an order take more than 4 days to arrive. Your mail service sucks!! You must have Newman from Seinfeld delivering your mail!!

I have noticed that the 95--- (San Jose, CA) and the 94---(San Francisco, CA) zip codes have certain areas in the country that are "strong" areas and others that are "weak" areas. I have noticed that mail to the Washington D.C./ Northern Virginia areas are usually very fast while mail to Texas can sometimes take a while to arrive. Southern California service is hit-and-miss. At times some first class mail can arrive the next day while at other times the same service can take almost one week. Registered mail from Southern California has arrived the next day, and at other times transit has taken 10 days.

I thought Santa Rosa was a 94--- zip code, but I guess I'm mistaken. Are you going to be at the Santa Rosa coin show this weekend?

Heart of SR and my zip is 95405. I had been planning on going but have ended up having to work both Saturday and Sunday so I will probably skip it. Nobody is keeping me from the SJ show the next weekend though image

The 94--- and 95--- boundaries are divided between the Sunnyvale/ Mountain View and Cupertino/ San Jose borders. My postage meter is based at zip code 94040 (Mountain View), so post offices in Cupertino and San Jose will not accept any mail that bears my postage meter stamps even though it's more convenient for me to drop off mail in Cupertino or western San Jose than it is in Sunnyvale, Los Altos or Mountain View.

    Good glad you got it,

I can send a Registered package to PCGS here from NC on Thursday or even sometimes early Friday, and it will arrive thier monday. Now wether they get it logged in for a few days is another story. Yet, when they send it back it takes a few more days.

3 days, not bad. Now were they what you expected?
  • Not too long ago I had a registered mail package from PCGS arrive at my address in Sacramento in three days, and in the past some packages have arrived after five days. I guess that's better than 10 days. By the way, my address in Sacramento is in the "95" area zip code.
