Are you sure about it being R&I?

I'm sorry. Yes, that definately NOT R&I. I think their name was UltraCameo.

    Too pricey for me!

I can tell you one thing about a coin he offers:

He has a 1952-D Franklin in ANACS MS67. It wwas cracked out of a PCGS MS64 holder. I chit you not!

I noticed on all of their Wisconsin quarter auctions that there is not one actual picture of the coins for sale. that in itself sends up red flags all over the place. I wouldn't place a bid without seeing what I am buying.

    Ultracoin image

I get a kick out of their auctions.

They tend to sell as follows:

    $300 coin

$65,985 Buy It now with make a best offer

...and read the fine print because the coin is not always slabbed at the grade the headlines suggest it is.

I'm sure they are nice enough people, though.

This thread has gone so many different, incorrect directions. R&I is ultimatecameo on ebay. And they have nothing to do with ultracoin, OK? R&I is Franklin guru Rick Tomaska's excellent firm.

I just dug up this thread after seeing an e-bay auction from Ultracoin.

I must say, they have the most rediculous terms I have seen.
    - 10-15 % restocking fee on certified coins and 8-12% on raw uncertified coins
    - Call prior if you need shipping in less than 3-9 business days
    - Winning bidder is expected to confirm by email and or phone within 1-2 days and make prompt payment within 1-4 business days of auction closing
    - Allow 3-15 business days of date payment is received for order processing and shipping
    - Our items are subject to prior sale and or may end up canceled or voided once in a while
    - We are striving towards 5 star service in all aspects

In response to negative feedback, ultracoin's replies are:
    - items are subject to prior sale and may end up voided 350315376975 brain dead?
    - items are subject to prior sale and may end up voided do you understand english?
    - as per terms phone and email! Please allow 3-15 business days! wake up!
    - PLEASE UNDERSTAND that PCGS and NGC grading standards are much more Lenient!

I will NOT BE BIDDING on this seller's auctions.
Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

    respected dealers

and eBay sellers that keep eBay buyers happy are different animals

as respected dealers go to many shows sometimes being away from home and computer for 2-4 days
and good eBay sellers ship on a daily basis and answer questions within a few hours of being posted

the power that eBay has given the eBay buyer, will ultimately effect their online auction domination

    Rick,
just stating a generalization about great coin dealers and great eBay sellers - they are rarely good in both arenas
too much travel, inventory for sale in multiple venues (sold at show while in eBay auction), temporarily misplaced inventory, ....
even Heritage had feedback issues on eBay, and I feel they are one of the top 5 coin companies in the world

I made the statement before checking any of Ultracoin stats on eBay
now that I have, I will stand by my statement
I do not disagree with you, and surely would do business with them at a show
where the sale process could be completed in a minute, but may lower my bid on their eBay items, if I bid at all
and I am not sure how many people (employees?) are involved with that account, but .....

    Sinin1,

    Thanks for posting that.
Those are the types of things I look at when I go to purchase from an ebay person(s).
The seller is not one to trust (on ebay) if they sell there, get a winner, and still sell to a different customer because "late CC payment".

If they are going to sell on ebay, they should learn to do it within the confines of ebay. Sure, I know there are those that will say "well, as a dealer, all my stuff is always for sale". Not trying to get that argument going again, but if someone wins your ebay auction, TAKE THE COIN AND PUT IT ASIDE so you don't get screwed up.
And, when you are selling, putting snide comments as replies is a turnoff to potential future buyers. I know it is for me. "Just the facts ma'am. Just the facts". Calling someone "brain dead" may sound fun to do, but it is unprofessional and just another reason to avoid that auction/person.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

wow, what a nice guy. . . everything is anything and everything's fault but their own. cool! i've never done business and this is definitely one person/dealer/outfit who i will now avoid. calling customers and potential customers brain dead because of their screw up is seriously odd and wrong of somebody acting at a professional level. i was recently offered an undisclosed amount of money without even a request when a dealer stated they had previously sold an item prior to listing the item on ebay. everything was on good terms except that i could not leave positive feedback for the dealer because of their request to cancel transaction. they left positive feedback for me even and will undoubtedly receive more transactions from me when something i want comes available, from them.

there are some real winners out there. they are just getting harder to find! so word of mouth is really important, and one reason i like reading these here forums image
