dear LucyBop, Thank you for sharing. I am so sorry to hear your news. I lost my dad in June of 2004. My mom passed only nine months after my dad. Not a day has gone by I don't remember these two wonderful people. I find there is a sadness that never goes away. Yes, they are now surrounded by love and light. That part I'm ok with. I guess it's having the opportunity to share life with them in this world that I miss so much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family now. God bless you and keep you safe in this difficult time.
"Let not you heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. My precious Father, a young and strong man in 1956 at the age of 18....
When I grew up, my family ran a bar nearby San Fidel New Mexico.....
In that bar my daddy had a jukebox, and inside of it was all the wonderful music of the 1950's... My daddy would always give me nickels to play on that jukebox..
I simply fell in love with the music... I had no idea it was old...I thought 1950's Rock'n Roll was my music... As iT was all my daddy played... Because of him, I fell in love with this music which really shaped my life, because of him, I fell in love with fast cars, as my Daddy was a street rodder from the 1950's.... He was and still is, a HEPCAT!

When I am gone, release me,let me go, I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be thankful for our beautiful years
I gave to you my love. You can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness, I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a time that we must part So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and say- "Welcome home !"

Here's a Bible verse I looked up.
"Let not you heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you will be also." John 14:1-3
