I realize he likes them, but this one seemed so "intense" in color. The ones he usually shows here seem more muted or natural. Not sure how to describe it,..... but this one seems different from most of his. Just wondered if he might like it, as well ???
I love toned commems as much as , more actually, than anyone. However, I would not pay the price for that one. The Long Island is just not that special to warrant it, regardless of colors. You can come close with a lot of others at much less cost. I'd save the money and put it towards a toned Hudson or Trail.

I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
I've seen the coin in-hand, and have strongly considered it on a couple different occasions. The reverse just makes me completely The obverse, although certainly not objectionable by any means, just doesn't have that factor for me. Nevertheless, it's definitely a pretty commem overall.
