Empty Box shipping-cost?? any idea?

I am going to be attempting to sell off a lot of non-sports empty boxes. Any idea how much S/H would be? From CA to NYC? I know a lot of people use the scale and get a good idea. The problem is that I am going to probably sell about 75-100 empty display boxes in one lot. The shipping box is going to be too large to really haul around for pricing. Anyone shipped that size before?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

If you have a box to ship them in -- this is what I would do. First weigh yourself on a scale. Then hold the box and all its contents and weigh yourself again. Subtract the two and you have what the box should weigh to the nearest 0.5 lb. Then go online to the different services like UPS and USPS etc and price it out. Just pick a random zip from one end of the country to the other. I usually use 90210 for calif. (easy to remember) and look up one for NY. That would probably be worst case scenario.

    Good luck.
  • You need to figure out the size of the box first because each service has tiers on based on height+all four sides added together. Your cutoffs are 84", 108" and 130" for USPS, after 130" you would need to use UPS or DHL which have diff cutoffs. They also have weight tiers but with empty boxes that should not be a problem. go to the sites mentioned and put in your numbers and it will give you all your shipping options. If you are going to sell on Ebay just use the shipping calculator in your auction and let the customer enter their info.

edit- if you live on the east coast use hawaii as your worst case because it is a couple bucks more than CA.
Buy anything for cheap and sell for more.
