OT, but could use some help!

I have been getting alot of emails from "Paypal" lately. They are generic emails that have no greeting or Paypal headings, they do not say my name anywhere in the letter but the address is from service@paypal.com The last one I recieved stated that ..."an email address was added to my account and that it now had access to my account if you disagree please log in now". I didnt login and did not delete it yet. Is this something I should worry about?? Or is it BS? I will try to get the email posted here so all can see.

  • It is someone fishing for passwords. If you do want to check, go to PayPal through your browser, not through the email.
  • Any email from paypal that seems generic just forward to spoof@paypal.com--if it is bogus (which is 99.999% of the time) you will get a few emails back from paypal expalining that it was a phishing email and what to look for from paypal if they really do email you
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Never ...ever.... access Paypal (or Ebay) through an email.

In fact.... I never follow ANY email to a login page or secure site.

    Loves me some shiny!

Those spoof emails are getting more "official" looking all the time - but they are always fake. Ignore all emails from PayPal, and go to the site itself.
