I've only now gotten to editing the images of my purchases from the show last Friday (March 10). I've been really busy, and now, I'm only taking a break from studying. Here is one of the two pieces I bought from Nick Chabot (NJC Coins/chabot510). A gorgeous three cent silver with exceptional color on both sides, but namely the obverse. It was graded MS62 by NGC, and, at the very least, is high end for the grade. I remember buying my first 3CS, when the $20 expenditure was a lot. This is now my fourth, and my first unc example. She's a keeper!

<< <i>Awesome Jeremy. Is that a die crack near AMERICA? >>
You bet... and off the first T in States. There seems to be a very minor one below the O in OF, as well.
<< <i>that said, the image of the reverse does not look UNC to me, but I know ZIP about this series -- is this a normal look for an UNC coin? Is this a regular, or weak strike? >>
These are commonly weakly struck... remember, the planchet is thin enough to bend with your fingers... it really wasn't the best of coins to manufacture.
GREAT coin, Jeremy!
This is an awesome piece. I noly wish I could find business strikes like this. I've been looking for a nice rainbow 3CS, but only seem to find them as proofs. Great pick up. When you get tired of her, I would be proud to give her a nice, comfy home.
<< <i>Definite die clash on the reverse doesn't help the look fo the reverse. I agree that it doesn't look unc to me. The surfaces on the reverse look very rough but could be from the die.

The roughness is, I believe, partly from the die, and also a combination of visual games from the lighting and toning.
When I get tired of her...

Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?
"Exactly."
<< <i>Very pretty trime. Too bad they are soooo tiny. >>
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Sweet rainbow

Your photo color seems to have too much magenta. Are the colors true on the pic or slightly off?

Trime,
I've got the coin in hand, and I personally don't see much of a noticeable difference. What's "white" on the coin is mostly lightly toned in pink, and I feel the colors quite accurate. Of course, as with every image, I'm sure we all see the image slightly differently, and possibly even the coin in hand, as well.
