1887 Morgan rainbow toned and Vam question.

Awaiting the copy of my Vam book so I am looking for some input in the meantime. I purchased this one yesterday, OGH PCGS for $90 and not only liked the color but the spider die cracks on both sides and what appears to be clasing on the neck below the chin and around the bottom of the cap. Any thoughts?

My thoughts:

1) Pretty.

2) Look about 1/3 of the way down the front of the neck, in the notch of the hair directly above the first right star, and above"...d W..." of the motto on the reverse for clashed letters. There's an Elite Clashed Die book hot coin with those characteristics.

There's some really cool clashing on 1887P's.

Thanks for the information, I do see the marking on the hair curl and there is a faint parallel die clash above the "W" but unfortunately it has several reeding marks in that location. Is there a number assigned to this one?

Here's the cheap version of a clashed die tool I make so you can take a look to see where clashes occur.

This is the normal zero degree rotation of a coin.

Thanks mad, I have that unfortunately my eyes aren't what they used to be, sounds like I need to ship this one off for attribution. Does anyone know if PCGS will attribute this one.

Mad4morgans- thanks for sharing that morgan overlay picture- do you have a similer drawing for the reverse? And I like that toning on the 87!

It looks like you have the 1/1887/7 repunched date as well.
Check the 1 for a serif under the upper serif and top of the 7
