Northwest Coin Show (Twin Cities)

The good news: if you like World Coins, this is still a pretty good show. There are several sellers with tons of good pieces.

The bad news: if you are a Brit specialist like me, this was the driest show on record for quality material. I came away with one new collection piece, a "no-die number" 1879 shilling in EF.

I did pick up this nice rupee, but I am still half-looking for a good Victorian example.

I think is a better date... isn't it? I mean may not be rare as other earlier dates such the 1854, but it is still tough to locate in a high grade

Not really a rah-rah piece but fairly inexpensive. The "no die number" variety (Davies 6B) actually has what Davies calls a "faint die number"

Avarel was at the show too. I'm not sure what he ended up with. Maybe he can post his grabs...
