Indian Cent Variety? or Error?

Is this a new variety or just an error? There is spreading on the left leg of the "N" and something in the "E". I don't know too much about Indian Cents. I hope the pics are attached. I am not very good at posting, yet.

Actually, those are great pics, you did good I'm not seeing anything to get too excited about, but maybe I'm missing something.

I could be wrong, but I think it's just a trick of the light you're seeing. I don't see anything that jumps out at me.

I agree with the aforementioned comments. I think you are seeing tricks from lighting.

I can't tell from the images but maybe your seeing Longacre Doubling on your coin. Check this thread out for info on it.

Do these photos make it more clear? It is definitly not the light. I am familiar with observing coins through a microscope with various lighting.

Those are extra outlines and it is on all "Bold N" dies 1870-1909, unless the dies were not sunk deep enough or polished in the meantime.
