noble spirit? ebay dealer

Mornin Group,

Anyone done business with Noble Spirit? Are they good dealers?
I see there adds all the time. feedback rating not bad.
I didn't read page after page, comments go from shining to to kind of neutral.
I don't remember how to get just the negs, if any.

The one time I bought from them was a very bad experience. They listed a coin as proof 65, but what I received was not a proof and not a 65 anything. I thought they sent the wrong item by mistake, but they said it was the right coin. I returned it and it took three months to get a refund.

While they are a power seller with 15,000 positive FB's, the 139 negatives are troubling. Sellers with under 99% FB with that many sales are a concern imo considering that probably 90% of dissatisfied sellers do not complain for fear of retaliatory negs or because they don't know they got whacked.

The file was too large for me to open via dialup, but tread easy with this seller. I doubt they are "noble" nor "spirited" unless you consider fighting to get your money back to be "spirited." Harbor Coin is one of my other favorite ebay hypesters and their feedback is over 99.6%.

Caution: "not bad" fb is not what you should want. 100% or nearly so is the only way to go. The exceptions should be minor things such as slow to ship, buyers who expected something for nothing, or postage issues. Even a hint of fakes, misrepresentations, bait and switch, cleaneded or damaged coins, should cause one to run.

Was just reading one guy's fb yesterday who had 9 negs out of around 300. Yet 5 of those were from one guy from Australia who expected US postal rates when the auctions clearly stated otherwise. Guy took 5 hits for that joker. Other hits incl buyers who were arguing over 7c postage or similar other stupidities.

Ditto. They sent me the wrong item too (regular proof set instead of Prestige Proof set) and were very slow to correct the mistake. They advertise in the coin magazines as an estate buyer.
  • Thanks All,
I'll stay away. And thanks for the link to the neg check tools also.
